A collection of some of my favourite wedding venues that I have worked at - all my personal opinions.

We are so lucky to have some amazing and beautiful wedding venues here in Christchurch. As a popular celebrant I get to work at so many different ones, so here are a few of my favs.

Cossars Wineshed
Tai Tapu, Christchurch

Easily one of the most popular wedding venues in Christchurch. Cossars Wineshed is located in Tai Tapu, an easy 20 minute drive from Christchurch. I’ve officiated at many weddings at Cossars, and have even been lucky enough to attend some as a guest.

The Court Yard is stunning and makes for beautiful and sheltered venue for the ceremony. You also have the option of getting married in The Vines - which is equally stunning.

Pemberton Gardens
Prebbleton, Christchurch

Pemberton is another popular and stunning venue in Christchurch. I can always count on doing a number of weddings each season at Pemberton, and it never disappoints.

Pemberton has stunning gardens and a famous ‘Pemberton Fountain’ that is perfect for photos. It has a beautiful rural feeling, but it isn’t too far out of Central Christchurch.

It is an ‘all weather venue’ meaning if the weather doesn’t play out way, it is an easy move inside with no drama.

Milton St Substation
Sydenham, Christchurch

Milton St Substation is an impressive venue situated right in the heart of Christchurch City - you can easily so why it is a popular venue.

The venue has many different spaces, but the upstairs area with exposed brick and views of the Port Hills on one side and the CBD on the other is stunning. Oh and not to mention the beautiful photo wall outside!

The upstairs area has a balcony which is perfect for a nice warm Canterbury evening and allows your guests to relax before heading downstairs to hit the d-floor.

Larcomb Vineyard
Rolleston

Larcomb Vineyard is a beautiful rural vineyard just 15 minutes from Christchurch in Rolleston.

The venue has many different spaces, but the lush lawns outside is easily one of my favourite places to do a ceremony - it is also an ‘all weather’ venue meaning if you need to move the ceremony inside, no drama.

The ‘Big Barn’ is a stunning place to have your reception and party the night away as a happy married couple.
